So fricken fudgy!
So Delicious and FUDGY!!!

Bakes: 1 Small Pan of Brownies
Takes About: 1 hour
Difficulty: Super Super Easy
Prep:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Butter a small cake pan (9 inches by 6 inches), place a piece of parchment paper in the bottom so that two sides come up over the side of two sides of the cake pan and then butter the piece of parchment paper.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter - melted and cooled
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup plus 4 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup almond flour OR all-purpose flour
1/4 cup chopped chocolate (optional)
1/4 cup walnuts (optional: toasted) - Chopped
Instructions:
- Step 1 - Start Adding to the Bowl
In a large bowl, add 1/2 cup unsalted butter that has been melted, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, 2 eggs, 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract, 1/2 cup plus 4 tablespoon of cocoa powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 cup of almond flour (or the flour of your choice).

And mix until everything comes together.
Make sure the butter is at room temperature because it will cook the eggs if not.

- Step 2 - Spoon Into Pan
Spoon the filling into the prepared baking pan and smooth it out.

- Step 3 - Add the Topping
Chop the 1/4 cup of walnuts (toasted or not) and 1/4 cup of chocolate and sprinkle them along the top of the brownies.
I like to sprinkle it on top of the brownies to make sure I get chocolate bits and walnuts in every bite, but the chocolate and walnuts can be mixed in instead if desired.

- Step 4 - Bake!
Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes.
IMPORTANT: The toothpick that is inserted into the brownies should be slightly dirty to make it fudgy. If it comes out clean, it will be cakey instead. - Not bad, just not fudgy!

- Step 5 - Eat it All!!!
With a glass of milk ;)
