Sometimes, we don't won't something drenched in sugar, instead, we just want to enjoy something tasty and maybe semi-healthy and that is why I made these baked apples for you.
And, I am not going to lie, also for me *hehe*.

Prep:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and place a piece of parchment paper onto a cookie sheet.
Ingredients:
2 large apples
75 grams unsalted butter- melted and sightly browned
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled-oats
2 tablespoons raw sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4-1/2 teaspoon zested orange
Instructions:
- Step 1 - Prepare the Apples

Slice the apples in half and cut out the core.
Slice a small piece off the back of the apple so they lay flat on a baking sheet and also cut slices through half the apple (not completely through) because this will allow the heat to leave the apples.

Once sliced, place the apples onto the prepared baking sheet the skin side down.
- Step 2 - Start Your Topping
In a small sauce pan, melt the 75 grams of unsalted butter and grab yourself a medium bowl.
In the medium bowl, add 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of rolled-oats, 2 tablespoons of raw sugar, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Zest in 1/2 teaspoon of orange peal.

And then add the melted butter.

And mix until everything is well incorporated.

- Step 3 - Press the Topping into the Apples
Before baking place a tinfoil tent over the apples - making sure the tinfoil does not touch the apples. re nicely covered.

- Step 4 - Toss the Apples into the Oven
Before baking, place a tinfoil tent over the apples - making sure the tinfoil does not touch the apples (if possible).

Then toss the apples into the oven for 20 minutes.
After the first 20 minutes, take the tinfoil off the apples and bake for another 20 minutes.

Now enjoy!
And if you believe it is too healthy, add a little scoop of ice cream *wink wink*.
