These cookies are large and in charge!
Have you ever wanted to eat 2 or 3 chocolate chip cookies at one time, but didn't want to feel the guilt of eating 2 or 7 cookies?
Well, these will solve your problem!
Makes About: 10-12 Large Cookies
Takes About: 1 hour
Difficulty: 1 out or 5
Prep:
Cub the butter and place it back in the fridge to keep it cold.
Place a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet and preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (or 205 degrees C).
Ingredients:
1 cup cold unsalted butter - cubed
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all purpose flour (or 1 1/2 cups cake flour and 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour)
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
12-16 ounce chocolate (milk chocolate or bittersweet or white chocolate (or a mixture))
- Optional
1 1/2 cups walnuts - roughly chopped
Instructions:
- Step 1 - Cream the Butter and Sugar
In a large bowl, cream together the 1 cup cubed butter, 1 cups brown sugar, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar for 4-5 minutes until fluffy.
Super fluffy:
- Step 2 - Add the Eggs and Vanilla Extract
Add the 1 egg and mix the batter until combined.
Add the second egg and the 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Step 3 - Add the Flour
Add the 3 cups of flour to the batter and mix until just combined.
Do not over mix because it can make the cookies tough.
- Step 4 - Add the Chocolate and Nuts
Add the chocolate and nuts to the batter and using your hands, mix everything together until combined.
Don't use a mixer, because it will over-work the batter.
- Step 5 - Form the Cookies and Bake!
To form the large cookies, press together about a handful of cookie dough into a cookie patty (like a hamburger patty).
Place them about 3-4 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
And bake for about 15 minutes or until the tops are lightly browned if you want the inside to be slightly gooey or bake it until the bottoms are browned for the middles to be baked a bit more.
- Step 6 - Enjoy These Giant Cookies!
Grab a chair, grab a large cup of milk, and sit and relax while you eat this cookie; because once your complete, you'll be full and satisfied and you'll want to veg out in your chair for the remainder of the day.
Below are two more photos, because who does not like to look at photos of cookies?

The recipe from Modern Honey's has more sugar, so if you like sweeter cookies, I do recommend her recipe!
