If you are looking for a little piece of home and goodness in pan, this is definitely the recipe to go with. Not just because it is so delicious and simple, but because you can add any berries you like.

Makes: 1 9-inch cast iron pan
Takes About: 1 1/2 hours
Difficulty: 0 out of 5 (yes, I meant to type 0)
Ingredients:
- Filling
2 large apples or 4 small apples - core and cube (optional: peel)
1/2 - 1 cup blueberries (or your choice of berry, or a mix of berries)
1/8 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
A pinch of salt
- Crust
1 cup whole oats
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
A pinch of salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter - cold and cubed
Prep:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
If a cast iron pan is not available, use a baking dish that is about the same size, but butter the bottom or line it with parchment paper for easier cleaning.
Instructions:
- Step 1 - Toss in the Berries
Wash the 1/2 - 1 cup of blueberries and toss them into the cast iron skillet.

- Step 2 - Core and Cube Apples
Core and cube (peel if the desired texture of the final product is smooth) the 2 large apples or 4 small apples into 1 inch pieces and add them into the cast iron skillet.

- Step 3 - Complete the Skillet Filling
Add the 1/8 cup of granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 tablespoon of cornstarch, and a pinch of salt into the cast iron skillet.

Toss everything together.

- Step 4 - Make the Crust
In a small bowl add the 1 cup of whole oats, 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar, a pinch of salt, and 1/4 cup of butter that is cold and cubed.

Press everything together using your hands until is sticks together.
If there are still chunks of butter, that is alright.

- Step 5 - Make the Skillet Whole
Sprinkle the topping over the berries and apples until completely covered.

- Step 6 - Bake!
Bake the cobbler for 30-45 minutes or until the apples are soft and the top is browned.

- Step 7 - Eat the Whole Skillet
This skillet is so small, that no one would judge you if you ended up eating the whole thing on your own.
If you want to bring this to the next level and impress all your friends add a dollop of vanilla ice cream to the top after it has cooled for 10-15 minutes and it makes the cobbler even prettier.
I didn't add the ice cream, but that is because I thought it was pretty amazing on its own.

This is my own recipe, I just tossed a few things into a skillet and hoped for the best.
Sometimes experimenting creates some very, for lack of a better word, disgusting things; however this time, it created one of the most amazingly delicious bites ever.
