Chocolate Covered Coffee Beans

Chocolate covered coffee beans are one of my favorite treats.


Makes about 20

Takes About: 30 minutes

Difficulty: 2 out of 5 (depending on the chocolate used)

Prep:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Ingredients:

20 coffee beans (your choice)

4 ounces chocolate (your choice)

Instructions:

- Step - Melt Chocolate

Place the 4 ounces of chocolate in a double boiler on low heat and melt completely.

I melted white chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate.

- Step 2 - Roast the Coffee Beans

While the chocolate is melting, spread the 20 coffee beans onto a baking sheet and roast int the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.


- Step 3 - Cover the Beans with Chocolate

Drizzle chocolate into a silicone mold just until the bottom of covered.

Place a bean into the middle of each mold and then cover completely with chocolate.


- Step 4 - Flatten the Mold

Using an offset spatula or flat object, push the overflowing chocolate into the holes with beans to cover completely.

Press cling form over the chocolates and place in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes - or until the chocolates harden.


- Step 5 - Press out Chocolates

The chocolates should pop out of the mold easily with not issues.


- Step 6 - Enjoy or Store

Enjoy these great little treats and then you are not eating them place them into an airtight container to store.
