Dense delicious warm bread slathered in butter making this a great morning breakfast treat.

Makes about: 1 loaf

Time: 1.5 hours

Difficulty: 1 Out of 5

Prep:

Preheat your oven to 350 F and grease your bread pan.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup pecans (optional - but great for texture)

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 eggs

3 medium bananas

1 1/4 cup flour - sifted

1 teaspoon baking soda

Butter as a spread

Instructions: Bread

- Step 1 - Toast Pecans

Place about a 1/2 cup of pecans on a baking sheet and bake them for 8-10 minutes while your oven is preheating. Move them around a few times while baking so they do not burn.

After the pecans have baked pull them out of the oven and let them rest while you make the bread.

- Step 2 - Cream The Sugar and Oil

In a large bowl mix the 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of vegetable oil till well combined.

You'll create a texture that will feel a lot like wet sand.

- Step 3- Beat in the Eggs

Once your sugar is well mixed add your eggs, 1 at a time.

Eggs 2:

- Step 4 - Mash the Bananas

In a small bowl mash 3 medium bananas.

- Step 5 - Mix in the Bananas with the Oil Mixture

Mix the mashed bananas into the sugar and egg mixture with a spoon or spatula until mixed, but don't over mix.

- Step 6 - Sift in Dry Ingredients

Sift 1 1/4 cup of flour and 1 teaspoon of baking soda into the banana batter.

- Step 7 - Chop Pecans

Chop your toasted pecans into small and medium chunks.

These are optional, but they add such a great texture into this bread.

- Step 8 - Fold in Pecans

Fold the pecans into the banana dough with a spatula.

- Step 9 - Bake

Poor your bread into your already greased pan and place the bread on the middle rack in the center of the oven. Back for 30-40 minutes or until your toothpick comes out clean.

I had to bake for 10 extra minutes because my bread was still too wet.

Once your bread is cooked flip it onto a cooking rack.

- Step 10 - Enjoy

Slice your bread to your desired thickness and spread as much butter and your heart desires and enjoy!

You can eat it while still hot, which is what I like to do, or you can eat it cold.
